Anxiety symptoms to look for...

There are many symptoms when it comes to anxiety. Here are what I find are the most common :

Ongoing worry and tension
Irritability
Muscle tension
Headaches
Sweating
Difficulty concentrating
Nausea
Tiredness
Trouble falling or staying asleep
Racing or pounding heartbeat (palpitations)
Chest pains
Stomach upset
Difficulty breathing
tingling or numbness in the hands
a need to escape ( fight or flight )
fear of losing control and doing something embarrassing

If you are having any or all of these symptoms the first thing to do is contact your doctor. I had the idea that something was wrong with me and I could fix it on my own and never contacted a doctor until 2 years down the road. Remember there is no difference in having anxiety than having the flu in the case that you will need help to get over it. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. Do a checklist of these symptoms and bring it to your doctor and sit and talk with them about your options. And remember no one has ever died from a panic attack!! It sure feels like you might but as long as you know that you wont than that is the first step.

Until next time.....

My Anxiety Story...

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I have been living or "dealing" with panic attacks for 5 years and am happy to say that I have officially overcome them. If you have anxiety or panic attacks then you know how scary and life changing they can be. In the next few blogs I'm going to go through steps, tips, and options that have worked for me and hopefully will work for you. Also feel free to send me any questions or comments you might have and I will do my best to answer them. I am not a professional or a doctor but I have done alot of research on panic attacks and educated myself on the subject to the point where I have overcome them. I just want to share to everyone what has helped me and hopefully will help you.
Until next time everyone!!!
